Gettysburg National Military Park

Gettysburg is sacred ground first and a haunting hotspot second—keep that order. From July 1–3, 1863, more than 50,000 soldiers were killed, wounded, or missing in the battle that bent the Civil War. The park preserves the fields; the folklore fills the gaps after dusk: phantom formations, musket volleys on quiet nights, wounded apparitions asking for help, EVPs in period dialect.
